How would you rank the fleet?

Ok, this is (more or less (probably less)) my first complete fleet. Ofcourse, I wanted to take on the big guys in the 4k league, so I started gunning for The Beholders, Hive4k, Poseidon, and The Quiters.

My tests confirm that my fleet is victorious over all four (unmodified) fleets (obviously, one on one) on the first, default and last seeds.

It also doesn't do all that poorly against 6k leaguers either,

This means it is probably a good benchmark fleet for classing new additons onto your fleets. Go ahead and modify it, use it as your own, just, leave a README.txt in the folder, giving me some credit.

Also, feel free to drop me a post if you have new ideas. Or email me if you want some 3D graphics for your fleet.

It's incredibly cheap, but incredibly effective. Currently, its unstopable due to the nature of capitalship weapons.

It mopped the floor with Argonneans, slaughtered the Quronneans, and had a close match with the Renenneans.


EDIT: I will not vote because all the options seem incredibly ignorant. xD
EDIT2: I love the graphics.

Yeah... that's me. 5 minutes and you have it figured out. Thanks though.

I actually found it amusing, becuase hive4k actually knows what is going on, with the 150+ lines of code/unit. I just mashed my head on the keyboard until the screen looked like code.

Well, right now, any fleet with attacking capships can win

The capitalship weapons were adjusted in a way that makes them 200% more powerful

The results of the new ranking table put your fleet #1.

I'd say your weakness is if the enemy attacks from multiple angles at once, instead of just from the front.

I didn't mash my head on the keyboard?
Actually, my code a freaking mess because everytime I wanted to do something an update would occur and I'd have to recode. You should see some functions and variables that are never used in my scripts :)

I might update my fleet one more time (hasn't been updated since like 1.65). I'm moving on to Nintendo DS homebrew development which has taken up my free time :) With all the changes to the frigates and capitals the hive sucks... I have to make the hive even more defensive :(

I wonder how well your fleet will work against the hive with the older versions of galaxyhack :)

I like the graphics.

That's a weakness of the hive too, and any fleet, as there are usually not enough units to defend a multiple angle attack.


BTW, I am totally stoked someone made a fleet with the intention to defeat mine. I've come complete circle now with galaxyhack. It looks like galaxyhack is getting more attention lately so I will be interested in updating the hive.

Poseidon used to tear hive apart for this reason. Your frigates would rotate to the back and get killed, then the poseidon frigates would mop up your capitals. Although, since the change in capitalship weapons, your fleet is a behemoth that's difficult to defeat.

That's why I didn't like the change to weaker capital weapons some versions ago. That meant the capitals could not defend themselves at all. All you needed to do to defeat a capital was get a torpedo or frigate within their long range which was out of the capital's short range. That meant capitals having weapons was useless since ships didn't ever have to come within range of them.

That's why I am completely recoding the hive. I am making it more defensive so hopefully it can withstand rule changes a little better :)
